Quote Domino

One of my nerdy/quirky/lame/whatever-you-wanna-call-it hobbies is to collect quotes and organise them in a way such that the last words of a quote continue into the beginning of the next one. I will be updating this page as I come across more fun quotes to keep the party going since, theoretically speaking, this game can go on forever!

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.” — Marcel Proust

“But the eyes are blind. One must look with the heart.” — Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

“The heart was made to be broken.” ― Oscar Wilde

“Life will break you. Nobody can protect you from that, and living alone won’t either, for solitude will also break you with its yearning. You have to love. You have to feel. It is the reason you are here on earth. You are here to risk your heart. You are here to be swallowed up. And when it happens that you are broken, or betrayed, or left, or hurt, or death brushes near, let yourself sit by an apple tree and listen to the apples falling all around you in heaps, wasting their sweetness. Tell yourself you tasted as many as you could.” ― Louise Erdrich

“My tastes are simple: I am easily satisfied with the best.” ― Winston S. Churchill

“If the best is possible, then good is never enough and only do the best.” ― Robert Siahaan

“Do stuff. be clenched, curious. Not waiting for inspiration’s shove or society’s kiss on your forehead. Pay attention. It’s all about paying attention. attention is vitality. It connects you with others. It makes you eager. Stay eager.” ― Susan Sontag

“Be eager in your desires but humbly patient in their accomplishment.” ― Mary MacKillop

“The greatest accomplishment is not in never falling, but in rising again after you fall.” ― Vince Lombardi

“And falling’s just another way to fly.” ― Emilie Autumn

“I wish I could fly. Or speak fluent Chinese. Both I think are equally impossible.” ― Karlie Kloss

“It is impossible to think of any good meal, no matter how plain or elegant, without soup or bread in it.” ― M. F. K. Fisher

“Bread – like real love – took time, cultivation, strong loving hands and patience. It lived, rising and growing to fruition only under the most perfect circumstances.” ― Melissa Hill

“I am what time, circumstance, history, have made of me, certainly, but I am also, much more than that. So are we all.” ―  James A. Baldwin
